People often wonder what Pilates is and how it is different from stretching or yoga. Pilates is a fitness regimen developed by Joseph Pilates during the first half of the twentieth century. Pilates became a system of exercises intended to strengthen the human mind and body. As a person, Pilates believed that both mental and physical health were interrelated, which is true. Because of this, this workout regimen improves flexibility, builds strength, and develops control and endurance throughout the entire body. At Pilates On Park, each Pilates class has clients working on their alignment, breathing, and core muscles. The result of regular class attendance is a stronger core and a more mentally and physically stable individual. If you're ready for a fitness method that allows you to grow and flourish, take a look at our classes.
